Job Description:

Customer Service
Customer Service Specialist

As a Customer Service Representative for a specialist in the metals industry, you will receive training and learn to:

- Assist customers by phone and email
- Answer questions and address inquiries
- Provide detailed product information upon request
- Assist customers with the product selection process
- Monitor inventory levels
- Ensure requested products are in stock
- Check lead times for items that are not in stock
- Create price quotes
- Enter and process customer orders
- Arrange, schedule and track shipments
- Provide periodic status updates on open orders
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Escalate complex issues as necessary
- Up-sell additional items when appropriate
- Identify and qualify new customer leads
- Perform other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include:

- At least one year of Customer Service, Account Management, Sales Support, Inside Sales or similar/related experience from a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Accurate data entry skills

Pluses:

+++ Fluency in conversational Spanish
+++ Any experience with wire, steel and/or industrial products
+++ Experience with NetSuite
+++ Experience using an order entry and/or Customer Relationship Management [CRM] system
