Maintenance Technician (Packaging Industry) (Bilingual Spanish)

Up to $35.00 per hour to start plus full benefits

Second Shift: Either 2:30p-11:00p or 1:30p to 10:30p

JobGiraffe's client is a manufacturer of material handling and packing equipment.

As Maintenance Technician, you will:

- Perform maintenance and repair activities on material handling and packing equipment
- Review maintenance schedules
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and building systems
- Identify and troubleshoot broken, malfunctioning or defective machinery
- Diagnose root cause
- Make emergency repairs
- Reassemble, recalibrate and test machines once repairs are complete
- Perform inventory control functions
- Order parts for repairs as necessary
- Install new systems and equipment
- Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ensure your area remains neat and orderly
- Perform other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include:

- Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic experience
- Industrial Maintenance experience
- Experience with hand and power tools
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions

Pluses:

+++ Computer skills
+++ Experience with Packing Machinery and/or Conveyor Systems
