Customer Service Specialist
Food and Beverage Distributor and Manufacturer
Up to $50,000 to start plus excellent company-sponsored benefits
Lincolnshire, IL

As a Customer Service Specialist, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Managing a specific set of key accounts
- Addressing customer inquiries by phone and email and direct line order system (this is not a call center)
- Confirming all direct line orders are entered accurately
- Sending product samples upon request
- Checking order status
- Expediting 'rush' orders upon request
- Processing order changes and price adjustments when necessary
- Acting as the liaison for your Key Accounts and various internal departments (Accounting, Credit, Shipping, etc.) in order to better serve them
- Reviewing invoices prior to distribution and payment
- Authorizing product returns and issuing customer credits
- Always ensuring that your accounts are satisfied with their products and their ordering experience

An ideal candidate profile will include:

- At least two years of Customer Service, Account Manager or Sales Support experience from a company that manufactures and/or distributes products
- OR a Bachelor's Degree in any major and relevant work history


- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Strong communication skills
- A friendly and outgoing personality
- Relationship building skills
- Problem solving skills
- Follow up skills
- The desire to deliver excellent customer service


- Experience with AS400, SAP, EDI or other direct-line order entry systems +++
- Previous Account Management experience, where you were assigned to specific key accounts +++
- Any experience from the food or beverage industry +++
