Administrative Support Specialist in Group Benefits
Up to $55,000 to start plus great company-sponsored benefits
Near North Suburbs - Skokie, IL

As Administrative Support Specialist in Group Benefits, your job duties and responsibilities will include:

- Providing day-to-day support within Group Benefits
- Learning to serve as the initial point of contact for Group Benefit clients
- Learning about Employee Benefits and Group Benefits
- Learning to explain various group benefit programs
- Assisting clients with their various benefit selections
- Handling employee enrollments and terminations
- Providing claim support
- Offering COBRA assistance
- Helping clients with their Website portal navigation

Additionally, you will be:

- Serving as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers
- Maintaining and updating enrollment spreadsheets
- Learning to administer Request for Proposals [RFPs]
- Learning to prepare and collate client presentations
- Learning to conduct routine audits
- Sending out monthly group newsletters

An ideal candidate profile will include:

- At least two years of Administrative and/or Customer Service experience
- Experience with client and/or customer contact


- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Accurate data entry skills
- Above average computational math skills
- Comfort with numbers, spreadsheets and reports


- Effective communication and listening skills
- Relationship management skills
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Prioritization and follow up skills


- Related insurance industry or group benefits experience +++
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree +++
