Customer Service / Retail Sales / Cashiering
Retail Sales Team Lead

$25.00 per hour plus benefits

JobGiraffe's client is a buyer, seller and appraiser for gold, coins, jewelry, luxury apparel, art, antiques and other valuables

As Retail Sales Associate, you will:

- Receive industry-specific training
- Learn to manage the Palatine location
- Occasionally support operations at the Schaumburg, Wheaton and Villa Park locations
- Learn to provide leadership, guidance and direction to Junior Store Associates
- Greet visitors to the store
- Apply a no pressure sales approach
- Learn to qualify sales leads
- Learn to inspect, test and appraise precious metals, coins and collectibles
- Learn to conduct research as necessary
- Purchase items and distribute payouts
- Also, assist customers that are coming to the store to buy goods
- Provide information on product details and pricing
- Answer buyer and seller questions as they arise
- Take and process payments for purchased goods
- Fill out all required paperwork as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service
- Support hiring, onboarding and training initiatives
- Handle escalated complaints and issues
- Serve as an ongoing resource for existing and new employees
- Perform additional administrative and clerical tasks as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include:

- Retail Sales experience
- Retail Sales Lead or Retail Sales Supervisor experience
- Computer and Data Entry skills
- Gmail / Google Suite experience

Pluses:

+++ Previous related experience with Coins, Currency, Gems/Jewelry or similar
