Supply Chain - Materials Coordinator

As a Materials Coordinator within the Supply Chain Group, your job duties and responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating the purchase of materials and/or services that are required for production
- Creating purchase orders for current and forecasted raw material demand
- Maintaining, monitoring and updating raw material and finished goods inventories
- Serving as a liaison between the Customer Service Department and Production Team, ensuring the alignment of production scheduling, material requirements and sales demand
- Preparing routine and specialized reports for management
- Negotiating freight rates with carriers
- Coordinating with vendors and freight carriers to ensure the on-time delivery of raw materials
- Verifying the accuracy of goods received and vendor pricing
- Investigating and successfully resolving errors and discrepancies
- Maintaining a supplier evaluation system
- Working with the Sales Department to provide vendor forecasting information
- Assisting with special projects
- Performing other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include the following experience:

- At least one year of full-time experience in any of the following Supply Chain functions:

> Purchasing Assistant
> Inventory Assistant
> Planning Assistant
> Materials Coordinator

In addition to the following desired qualifications:

- An understanding of general manufacturing practices
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Analytical and strategic-planning skills
- A comfort with numbers, data, spreadsheets and basic math
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Relationship-building and follow-up skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Accuracy and attention-to-detail in your work
- Prioritization and time-management skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment

+++ An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, especially in Supply Chain Management or similar
